Coast Awards 2011

Coast awards 2011
Tell Coast magazine what you’ve enjoyed most around our coast and you could win £250 to spend at Joules!

Last year’s Coast Awards were an unprecedented success, culminating in a thrilling ceremony in London, where we celebrated the seaside, people and places that Coast readers, love best.

This year, we will be doing it again – only better, and we are delighted to be sponsoring the awards for a second year. The awards have some exciting new categories, including Best Boutique Hotel and Best Seafront Cultural Attraction, to reflect the improved visitor experience our coast now offers.

But most importantly, we want to hear what has impressed you around our coast this year. It could be a chic hotel, a pier or an individual who is making the seaside a better place. To see all of the categories for the 2011 awards click here

All nominations will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win £250 of vouchers. As always, Best British Beach and Best Seaside Holiday Destination will be voted for entirely by Coast readers. For the other categories, the top three nominations will be submitted to the judges in December, who will decide on the remaining eight winners. The results will be announced in the June 2011 issue of Coast. So get voting!

Is it a bird?

While falconry, the sport of hunting wild prey with falcons, can take many years of dedication to perfect, there are many bird of prey centres around the UK that provide ‘falconry experience days’. In one day it is possible to fly and handle a variety of these magnificent birds – providing an action-packed experience with anticipation and excitement guaranteed.
