My friends and I were lucky enough to win a three night stay at the most beautiful castle in Yorkshire. We were blown away by how pretty the place was, a mile long drive up to the castle with deer grazing all around! The castle itself was quite modern inside, with a huge plasma TV in the living room, and the most amazing heated indoor swimming pool. The castle was surprisingly cosy, with the mix of modern furniture and log fires complimenting each other perfectly.

After enjoying dinner together on the first night, we all woke up excited the next morning in anticipation of our activities. We set off in the pouring rain to a field in the middle of the Yorkshire countryside. We were met by an assortment of obstacles from go-carts, to giant sacks and rifles. We started with rifle shooing; some of us were so bad that we had to shoot a balloon instead of an actual target! The go-carting was brilliant fun, and the smiles on our faces proved this as we were covered by lumps of mud!

That evening we were spoiled by a visit from our very own Chef! He masterminded a combination of incredible meals, all delicious and beautifully presented. It was lovely to all spend quality time together, in beautiful surroundings and lovely food and wine.

On the final day we made the most of our surroundings all enjoying a long walk in the woods. We were all so incredibly sad having to leave behind what felt like our new (and very luxurious) home. Thank you again to Joules for the most memorable weekend away.
