The last couple of weeks have been very busy and exciting with events every weekend. Now my exams have finished I can finally concentrate on what I want to do!
Zippy went very well at Salperton a couple of weeks ago, where we secured our best result to date – a 2nd in a very competitive Open Intermediate section. I managed to beat William Fox-Pitt, which I was over the moon with!
The 5 year olds – Miss Indigo and Charlemagne competed well at both Stonar and Bicton BE100’s. Miss Indigo went especially well at Bicton where she did a great test of 25 and followed that up with a neat double clear, managing to finish in 5th place which was ever so pleasing.
I have been very fortunate recently and gained the ride on Apache Sauce who has retired from top level competition with Mum, it is extremely exciting and I feel ever so lucky. I’ve competed with him at Stonar and Bicton novice’s so far which have gone very well, I did a 32 double clear at Bicton and came 4th.
Following several trips up to Ferdi Eilberg’s for dressage lessons, Zippy is feeling on top form and fully prepped for his next runs, fingers crossed the weather cheers up so we can actually get out and compete!
