A staple in my wardrobe year-round, a great pair of culottes can work seamlessly from day-to-night. Perfect for those unexpectedly warm end-of-summer days with sandals or, with boots and a knit on the greyer day. If you’re wondering how to style culottes, you are in the right place.
The Easy-to-wear Look
Cut from a soft and lightweight fabric this loose style is ideal for those days when the weather’s not really sure what it’s doing. Stopping you from getting too hot whilst on your commute or out running errands. Tapping into the trend for all things pink I wore navy culottes with a light-knit in dusty pink, teaming with a pair of tonal sandals and sunnies. We often get some of the best days of the summer in September and this easy-to-wear option can work for everything from brunch with the girls to the school run.
The 9-to-5 Look
Great for 9-to-5 dressing culottes are a dream in the office as they’re contemporary, yet comfortable. Smarten up for meetings with a classic striped shirt to add a lovely bit of character into the everyday – wear with boots this autumn.
The Weekend Look
Practical for all weekend activities, culottes offer a great alternative to your go-to jeans. Mix it up and wear yours with trainers to the zoo with the family, or out and about when exploring farmers’ markets. The rich navy hue of the culottes lets you add in a variety of colours to your look with ease, teaming with a fun Breton, like the Harbour jersey, and knot a printed neckerchief around the handle of your bag to add a little extra pop of colour.
