AW16 Collection denim dresses and raincoat

Our new autumn collection has been waiting patiently in the wings and at last the time is here. A change in season means a change in the clothes we wear, so (to make things a little easier) we’ve asked our friends in the press and a bunch of ‘in-the-know’ bloggers what they’ll be wearing from our autumn collection – and just what we should be making space in our wardrobe for…

– Sarah Barlow, Look

‘Shirt dresses will be a big deal this autumn and this wear-anywhere denim number is firmly on my lust list. Thanks to its longline cut and soft chambray fabric the traditional denim shirt has been given a brand new season spin and I’m totally on board with it!’

– Clementine Brown, Sunday Times Style

‘Everyone knows that a loose shirt is the most versatile item in your wardrobe, it’s trans-seasonal, great for layering and is the definition of smart casual. Tuck it into some navy cigarette pants for the office or layer over some jeans for a Sunday stroll. Also, don’t be put off by the grandad collar, people of all ages can rock them!’

Sarah Rose Harrison, You

‘The unpredictability of the British weather means that a raincoat is essential. This super-sweet, spotted style will take you from farmers’ market to festival and is sure to keep you as right as rain, even in a downpour!’

Make a splash with Joules Coast Print Spotty Raincoat

– Amy Hanson, Freelance Stylist

‘Re-think granny chic – I love this wallpaper style print with its flash of bright colour set against the monochrome shift dress. Wear with masculine loafers for day or a glittery, Mary Janes for the evening.’

Joules Cynthie Dress

– Emily Inman, Brick Dust and Glitter Blog

‘A denim dress is a staple piece that allows the wearer to add a little femininity to their everyday casualwear – the Kayley dress is perfect for any wardrobe. As it gets colder, team with some Chelsea boots and a quilted jacket to make those chilly dog walks feel more like a catwalk. I love denim, and especially denim dresses, something that is a good cut and one that will not go out of fashion is always going to be a great purchase. This will never date and I think it will become a piece that will be part of my ‘Mum Uniform’ through autumn, winter and beyond.’

– Alison Perry, Not Another Mummy Blog

‘When you’re doing the school run and then rushing to a meeting, a good leather cross-body bag is essential, leaving your hands free for holding the hands of your little ones and clutching your takeaway coffee. The Tourer bag is ideal to carry all of my essentials and looks just as good with a dress and boots, as it does in the evening with statement flats and cropped trousers.’

– Fritha Stickland, Tiger Lilly Quinn Blog

‘I love a Wensley scarf for the fact you can buy it in so many prints and patterns, but also because a scarf is such a versatile accessory. My favourite colourway is the blue floral, it adds the perfect contrast to a simple Breton striped top and jeans, and great tied around your favourite handbag to add that extra edge to your everyday outfit.’
