Where better to capture the best of British scenery, weather and spirit than by the seaside? That’s exactly why we packed up our latest collection and headed to the coastal fishing village of Clovelly for our SS20 campaign photoshoot.
The children on our photoshoot were all given cameras to take their own shots of the antics from their point of view – here are just some that they took. Can you spot the vintage photographs too? Clovelly has barely changed at all!
Clovelly gave us the perfect backdrop for our coastal antics, and it wasn’t long before the rain gave us an opportunity to show off the capabilities of our new outerwear and wellies! With buckets and nets in tow, we enjoyed all that Clovelly had to offer, from crabbing with the little ones to scaling the many cobbled steps up to the top of the village.
There to accompany us was Bodhie the Bearded Collie, who was loving every bit of his role modelling our pet collection. He even had a go as camera man, giving us a dog’s-eye view of the action from a camera clipped to his collar.
Clovelly is known not just for its car-free streets and steep incline, but for the donkey stables that reside in the village where visitors can learn about the animal’s part in the village’s history (they used to be used to carry things from one side of the hill to the other!). Some of the sanctuary’s donkeys made it into our photoshoot too — we couldn’t visit Clovelly without including a donkey!
The colourful buoys, boats and fishing nets matched beautifully with our new prints and palettes that were inspired by the coast, with our bright designs contrasting the stunning grey skies and calm seas. Quaint little shops and cottages caught our eye at every turn, making for the perfect place to stop for a spot of fish and chips.

25.01.2020 at 11:14I’m lucky enough to call Clovelly home, I saw all the models sheltering from a horrific downpour outside my house, I thought about inviting them all in as I had a roaring fire going, but my house is very small! I love the look of this collection , especially the shark jumper! I wish it came in adult sizes. Our wonderful village certainly looks good in the photos, a fitting backdrop for the clothes and accessories.
