Behind the Scenes: The Great Escape

Our latest phase The Great Escape is well underway now and it’s going down a storm with Joules fans new and old. The influences behind spring summer 2017 were the many joys of a staycation, camping or caravanning. Not having to travel too far to enjoy some well-deserved time off. Tuning out from the outside world, sleeping beneath the stars and waking up to the sound of nothing but nature. Here’s a look behind the scenes of our latest shoot.
We started off by sourcing a vintage caravan and car to give our shoot the low-fi feel we felt would go with the relaxed feel of the phase. It’s fair to say our shoot team fell in love with both car and caravan.
Between shots the children played and drew pictures of their ideal camping holiday. It wouldn’t be a camping trip without a campfire – this obviously brought out the boy scout in all the crew. It was, of course, carefully monitored given our forest location.
We created some camp-friendly food – this healthy breakfast bircher, used to show off our melamine picnic collection to perfection, was a definite hit.
We hope the shoot reflected the holiday-like feeling we hoped to convey, it was certainly a great bonding experience in a beautiful woodland location.
Is it time for a summer holiday yet? We’re more than ready.
