Looking for some Christmas decoration inspiration for your home this season? The search is over. We asked our friend, Charlotte at Rock my Style to share her go-to festive staircase garland tutorial for you to recreate at home.
Choose your flowers and foliage, fir and ivy are good bulk budget buys and hydrangea has longevity providing the oasis blocks are sprayed with water daily. Pine cones are perfect for the season and last forever.
Start by placing your foliage into each oasis block, leaving small gaps for flowers and final flourishes. The length of the greenery depends on how organic/natural you wish it to look; use scissors to cut stalks to your required size.
Add in your florals to any available space in the oasis block, a few blooms per one is all you need to make an impact, if you are using hydrangea then one head is plenty.
Once you are happy with your garland you will need to prepare your stairs, use old sheets or cloths to cover the carpet as you tie the garland to the bannister to prevent any unwanted drips.
Using the cable ties attach your garland to your stairs, one every other oasis block should suffice.
Once your garland is firmly in place wipe off any excess moisture and look for gaps or spaces where you might want to add in some more personal touches such as ribbon (you can pin in lose lengths or bows) feathers or the aforementioned pine cones.
