There’s nothing quite like getting your home ready for a new season; making small changes that refresh rooms and give your house a new lease of life. But of all the seasons, we think that the transition into autumn and winter is perhaps the most satisfying.
As the mercury drops, now’s the time to start getting the old place warm and cosy; dark nights, a warm throw, comfort food and a soft cushion or two. Bring on the chill, we’re more than ready, in fact, we’re positively looking forward to it.
Here are our current favourite homeware accessories for getting autumn and winter interior ready.
We’ve used moss stitch to create this warm cushion and tactile wooden buttons for even more texture. Great for making the sofa just that bit more welcoming, but it works equally well as a contrast to bedding too.
The design for this throw was inspired by antique trellising found in the gardens of some of our grandest stately homes. Despite its historical influences, it’s a bright and contemporary piece that will make a statement draped on the sofa – or around your shoulders too, of course.
You may have noticed that we love a good hare motif, especially a regal type such as the resplendent one found on this cushion. With a metallic print crown feather filled pad this cushion deserves pride of place in any room.
