How To Wear a Poncho

The knitwear we’re all coveting this season is our Tessa cable knit poncho. You loved this poncho so much last year, we’ve brought it back but with an updated shape and a touch heavier fabric to see you through to winter. It’s a great substitute for a jacket, with a shawl collar for keeping the draughts away. Balance out the poncho’s oversized shape by wearing with skinny jeans. Layer over a shirt or breton striped top, throw on some boots and you’re good to go!

Here’s our editors tips on what to wear with yours…

Blogger Lapin Blu wears her poncho on a trip to the beach, while blogger Cider With Rosie wears hers on a forest walk with her dog Ted.

Off Duty Poncho

For a casual angle on the poncho wear it with girlfriend jeans and Chelsea boots. Need some colour? Wear yours with bold prints and don’t be afraid to clash. Try a floral print shirt cuff peeping out of your poncho with our posy print Baliol canvas backpack for a great subtle option.

Uptown Purl

Channel your nautical nature by pairing a cable knit poncho with navy breton stripes. Wearing yours for work? Then dress yours up with skinny jeans and heeled ankle boots, and add our crocodile grab bag into the mix, it’s pretty and functional with a zip pocket for your tablet.
