We’re almost in that tricky in-between-the-seasons phase (although, I’m not entirely convinced that we’ve had a summer this year). I don’t remember ever using my umbrella quite so much as I’ve done this July and August. Those pesky April showers no longer seem to be limiting themselves to a single month of the year anymore, do they?

While I love autumn, I’m still clinging on to the hope that the remainder of August and September will be kind to us and show us some sun. Please let there be some sun! I have sandals and sun hats to get maximum usage out of. I’m not quite ready to give up on those rays yet.

Boots, scarves, hats and gloves often feel like they were designed with me in mind. Cosy layers are my thing. But I’m resisting temptation for a while despite being extremely tempted by the gorgeous Berkley Scarf in blue check (go take a look … it’s autumn personified). Much like I’m not ready to pack up my summer wardrobe, I’m not yet at the stage when I’m closing up the windows of my home and cosying up in front of fires and readying myself for X Factor and Strictly season. Décor-wise, I’m still embracing warmer months with crisp white bedding and pops of fuchsia reminiscent of more far flung destinations than our quiet village in North Wales.

Spots, stripes and pops of pink are three things which, interiors-wise, widen my eyes and make me smile. They appear all over my home. Therefore, it was no wonder that I swooned when I spotted Joules’ new dahlia floral range. It’s beautiful.

But with one eye on the coming months, if you are worried about the temperature dropping and the arrival of (even) colder weather, Joules’ bubble knit throw is destined to be your new best friend. Simply put, it’s stunning. The texture is just amazing. It’s such a cute knit.

Drape it over the end of your bed to keep your toys warm or pop it over your shoulders when you first wake up and head down to the kitchen for that all important morning cup of tea. And take a look at the Par-Tea Mugs for puppy perfection. I adore the pink poodle!
