Our Budding Partnership with The Woodland Trust

The newest charity to be added to the Charitably Joules fold is the Woodland Trust, who we have been working with to further their mission of restoring our British woodlands — as lovers of the countryside, this is a cause very close to our hearts here at Joules.

What is The Woodland Trust?

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity. Founded in 1972, the Trust protects the country’s precious woodlands by planting trees, campaigning for change and restoring ancient woodlands for the benefit of our wildlife, our people and our planet. The Woodland Trust now also own over 1,000 protected woodlands that are free to visit and enjoy. You can find your nearest Woodland Trust woodland here.

CHARITY FACTS

Since its inception, the Woodland Trust has…

PLANTED 43,069,424 TREES
SAVED 1089 WOODS
RESTORED 34,075 HECTARES OF ANCIENT WOODLAND

How will Joules be fundraising for The Woodland Trust?

We have a whole host of activities planned for Joules Charity Month. We’ll be holding bake sales, cycling hundreds of miles, opening our own charity shop in Market Harborough and having a fancy dress day at Head Office!

The Joules x Woodland Trust Jute Bag

As part of our partnership with the Woodland Trust, we’ve designed a number of limited-edition reusable shopping bags with woodland-inspired prints. The ‘juco’ bags, which are a mixture of cotton and jute, have a life of between three to four years, replacing the need for around 600 plastic bags over this time. £1 from every bag sold goes to the Woodland Trust to support their conservation work. You can pick yours up from your nearest Joules store now, subject to availability.

How could your donation help The Woodland Trust?

£10 helps the Woodland Trust create homes for woodland wildlife.

£20 can bring a child closer to nature with a woodland discovery day.

£40 can help the Woodland Trust to campaign to save threatened ancient woodland.

Joules is a brand that was born in the countryside, so there’s a really good synergy between Joules and the Woodland Trust. I think we share the view of wanting to encourage people to get outdoors and enjoy trees, woods and the wildlife that they support.
