A timeless classic championed by leading ladies throughout the years, a silk scarf is just the ticket to take your outfit from “oh, this old thing” to “oh la la”.
As worn by fashion royalty (Coco Chanel), real royalty (HM Queen Elizabeth) and Hollywood starlets (Marilyn, Audrey and Sophia to name a few), there are many different ways to wear a silk scarf, all you need is a little inspiration – here’s how we wear the silk scarf at Joules…
A relaxed look perfect for the office and suited to that gorgeous 1950’s silk scarf style, the French Twist tie will bring any outfit to life, pair with a classic blouse for that smart casual chic look we all love.
A women’s neckerchief tied into a plait is a playful way to spruce up even the simplest of outfits. The plait is a fun look but it takes a little more patience and dexterity, so if at first you don’t succeed…give it another bash!
The plaited silk scarf is the perfect way to glam up a shirt dress or midi dress. Worn around the collar, it will add a new dimension to your favourite staple dress and make you feel oh-so-elegant.
If you’re wondering how to wear a long silk scarf, the school tie look is great. It’s perfectly suited to a longer silk scarf and will really bring your outfit to life, keeping things ultra-sleek and unique – perfect! Why not pair a long silk scarf with a gilet to add an extra layer of warmth and more than just a hint of style to this quintessentially British look?
