Our inspirational print designers have been busy creating one of our most exciting print ranges to date, and there are a few unexpected motifs just waiting to be discovered.
Head of Concept Laura Douglas explained the inspiration behind the range.
There were lots of prairie and folk influences coming through when we were designing these prints, so we looked at how we could translate this trend in a Joules friendly way. We had spotted on our travels numerous ‘farm to table restaurants’ and noticed a rise in popularity of beautifully curated farm shops, we thought the practice of growing produce was one that would resonate with our customer so we played around introducing vegetables into our classic bouquet formations. We drew artichokes and radishes which were translated into embroidery to capture the folk influence. The veg was also placed onto ticking stripes to update shirting. It’s very playful and irreverent but looks quite beautiful.
There are so many pieces that showcase our new season prints to pick from, but here are our favourites:
Featuring our new silver artichoke floral and botanical vegetable prints and with a ruffle detail to the collar, cuffs and placket. This pop over style is perfect if you’re looking for a shirt that’s easy to wear yet stands out from the crowd.
We couldn’t leave our beloved Harbour top out of the new season print mix. Choose from stripes dotted with hand-painted radishes, artichokes, florals and botanical vegetables, in a casual style you know and love.
Another piece that’s perfect for showcasing our new season print artichoke floral is the Julia day dress. Made from slub jersey it’s soft, drapes beautifully and can be worn now with bare legs and sandals and tights and boots later on.
For a dash of new season print to add some colour to an outfit or jacket then opt for a scarf. We’ve updated our ever-popular long-line scarf the Wensley to include our artichoke floral and plum vegetable print.

14.08.2017 at 14:36I’ve been buying Joules for years and years, but something needs to change. Everything looks the same as the year before, even these new things are so similar to what you’ve already had in-store. There are only so many striped tops women are going to buy, and jamming large florals onto everything just makes us all look like middle aged women (and I actually AM a middle aged woman, who sure doesn’t want to look like this). Think about going back to your roots – good quality country clothing that lasts, at a decent price point. I’m spending less and less with you as the years pass, and so are all of my girlfriends, and my young friends don’t even think of Joules as a brand to consider. If you want to know what women want to buy, ask us! One positive note? Your dog beds are top notch – maybe a range of collars, leads, food bowls to go with them?

I’ve also been shopping at Joules for years and continue to purchase 80% of my wardrobe wih you. I love the stripped tops and buy plenty each season in the new colours. I also love the dresses – so handy for work and play! Keep up the good work – I’d be lost with joules in my wardrobe!
