The Tree Shoot: Behind The Scenes

On an unexpectedly bright sunny day in August, we shot our winter collection inside our local Christmas tree farm in Thorpe Langton, Market Harborough. Our photographer was Canadian Maria Lang, whose relaxed style of shooting produced stunning results. Our models (who comprised of two real life families) had a fun day playing amongst the trees, while Maria and her husband and photography assistant Nathan, snapped away. Take a behind the scenes look at our day of shooting.

At Joules we love the outdoors as much as we love time-off with our loved ones, and both were celebrated in our ‘The Tree’ shoot. The final look book tells the story of the family preparing for Christmas; making a day of selecting a tree to take home and decorate. The choosing of the tree is such a special annual family tradition for many; driving to the tree farm wrapped up in winter layers, the excitement of climbing aboard the tractor to take you to the trees, and selecting one that will fit just right in your living room.

Do you have a family Christmas tree tradition? Tell us in the comments below!

Grange Farm in Thorpe Langton is a place many of the Joules staff have grown up visiting at Christmas. This was an extra special shoot and the magic really shines through in the final shots.
