“Let’s Explore!” Micro Scooter Competition - Terms and Conditions 2015

    The Competition

  1. This ‘Let’s Explore!’ Competition (the “Competition”) is a competition organised by Joules the prize for which is provided by Micro Scooters Ltd (“Micro Scooters”) who are also responsible for it. Micro Scooters is a limited company registered in England and Wales with company no. 5196465 and registered address: 110 Coast Road, West Mersea, CO5 8NA.
  2. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win the Competition and any purchase made will not increase the chance of winning.
  3. This Competition will run from 09:00 hours on 19 October 2015 until 23:59 hours on 27 November 2015 (the “Closing Date”). By entering this Competition entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”). The details of the Competition form part of these T&Cs. Entrants should retain a copy of these T&Cs for reference. Any invalid entry or breach of these T&Cs may result in a prize being forfeited, at Joules’ sole discretion.
  4. To participate in this Competition, entrants must meet the following requirements (the “Eligibility Criteria”):
    1. reside in the United Kingdom; and,
    2. be 12 years of age or younger; and,
    3. have a parent or guardian that agrees to these terms and conditions on their behalf.

    5. How to Enter

  5. Every person who meets the Eligibility Criteria shall be entitled to receive from a participating Joules store a ‘Let’s Explore!’ activity pack – distributed subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Within this activity pack, and upon the Joules Journal Blog, there will be a list of words to find within a word search – with one word, the winning word, which will not feature. That prize-winning word is the word that should be entered at blog.joules.com/micro-scooter
  6. Eligible entrants should enter the prize-winning word into the “Let’s Explore!” section on Joules Journal Blog by the Closing Date in order to win.
  7. An entry will not be deemed complete unless the following information is provided:
    1. the child’s name;
    2. the child’s age;
    3. the parent/guardian’s name; and,
    4. a contact telephone number and email.
  8. The Competition must be entered on behalf of a parent or guardian’s child in the child’s own name; it may not be entered on behalf of anyone else. There is only one entry allowed per child; no bulk or third party entries shall be accepted. Should a false name be used, the child will be disqualified.
  9. The Competition is not open to: Joules employees, third parties involved in the Competition, their families, agents or anyone else in any way professionally connected with this Competition.
  10. Joules does not accept responsibility for any entries which Joules fails to receive due to in errors in transit.
  11. winners will be selected in an entirely independent manner from all of the valid entries received before the Closing Date.

    12. The Prize

  12. There will be two winners: there is a single Micro-Scooter to be won and a single Maxi-Scooter to be won (the “Prize”). The winner of the Micro-Scooter will be chosen from valid entries within the 3 – 5 age group, and the winner of the Maxi-Scooter will be chosen from the from valid entries within the 6 – 12 age group.
  13. Joules will make reasonable efforts to notify the winner(s) of the Prize using the phone number provided on the completed entry no later than 30 November 2015. Joules is not responsible for phone numbers recorded incorrectly. If having made those efforts it is not possible to contact the winner, Joules reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next valid entrant independently selected. Any reselection will be undertaken in the same manner and accordance with these Terms.
  14. The Prize is non-transferable and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
  15. If the Prize is no longer available due to circumstances beyond Joules’ control, a prize of equal or greater value will be provided.
  16. The Prize is only redeemable by the named winner or their parent or guardian
  17. The surname and country of the winner(s) and, where possible, a copy of their winning entry will be obtainable for three months from the Closing Date upon application to: Let’s Explore! Competition (Winners Details Request), Joules Limited, 16 The Point, Rockingham Road, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 7QU.
  18. Joules reserves the right to withdraw, change or cancel the Competition at any time. Joules’ decision in all matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. Joules, including its officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents, excludes all liability for any losses and/or damages of whatever nature and howsoever arising to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws.
  20. In consideration of being awarded the Prize the winner may be required by Joules to take part in publicity related to the subject of the Competition and confirms that they will take part in such publicity. Such publicity may include, without limitation, use of the entrant’s name, photograph (which they will provide on request) and statements made by the entrants concerning the Competition and/or the Prize. You now provide Joules with a right and licence to use the entry on the Joules website, and throughout Joules’ social media channels.

  22. These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
